Resilient Communities and How Regenerative Approaches Support the Big Picture of Connecting the Dots
11:00am - 11:45am
Workshop Session B
As Canadian communities grapple with the frequency and intensity of natural hazards, there is an urgency to understand and build resilience. How can communities be designed to adapt to shocks and stresses while also embracing our connection to nature? Regenerative design goes beyond merely being less bad; it focuses on giving back to the surrounding ecosystems, communities, and human health. This session explores the intersection of resilience and regenerative approaches, considering threats, challenges, and opportunities. Through regenerative design, we connect the dots for more resilient communities.
