Corporation Decarbonization at the Town of Banff: Home Runs and Headaches

9:30 - 10:15

Workshop Session A

In 2019, the Town of Banff adopted an ambitious goal to reduce corporate facilities emissions from 2016 levels by 50% by 2030. This goal has mostly been achieved already – however, future progress is expected to be much more challenging.

Town staff will present an overview of our current facilities decarbonization strategy, describe some of the flagship projects as well as external factors that have contributed to our success so far, and discuss the new challenges we will need to confront to achieve future GHG reductions through an economic and affordability lens.
